A federal committee has kept the polar bear ranked as a species 'of special concern,' two steps down from 'endangered' and one down from 'threatened.'

There is concern in South Australia that school children's saftey may be at risk if the government goes ahead with proposed first aid changes to schools. The education union and a local mamber of government,Liz Penfold claim the education department is planning to remove first aid training funding for teaches and making the training non-compulsory.
