The Phillies offense this year has two very startling trends, at least to my eye: Poor hitting against lefties and poor hitting against big power arms. I checked statistics on these trends to see if they were, in fact, trends: Phillies vs. LHP: 493 PA, . 235 AVG, .317 OBP, .438 SLG Phillies vs. RHP: 1025 PA, .257 AVG, .329 OBP, .426 SLG Looks like while the Phils don’t “hit” lefties as well as righties, they actually get better results when they do hit them. According to the SSA, the top ten baby boy names of 2007 were Jacob, Michael, Ethan, Joshua, Daniel, Christopher, Anthony, William, Matthew and Andrew (in that order). Three As Four's Gabi, Adi, and Ange seem to be the mascots of downtown New York. Last week alone we spotted the designers (two at a time, if not all three) at the Superheros: Fashion & Fantasy press conference, the Rogan store opening party, and then on Saturday, at the Absolutely Venomous Accurately Fallacious (Naturally Delicious) event.

Bob Barr is now officially a candidate for the Libertarian Presidential nomination. There's a lot of speculation right now as to which candidate would lose the most votes to Barr in November, Obama or McCain. The conventional wisdom would seem to say John McCain as the Libertarians, historically, have drawn votes away from the Republican Party. I know the followers “trend” is fluent in the profitable businesses but why following a “free” concept?I’m so deceived by what they did, and of course banned them for the site to stop the copy process, God only know where they arrived.
